The organisation was founded in 1981 in order to help promote and develop architecture and protect the rights of the professionals in the field.The organisation today has registered around 600 members. Amongst the activities of the organisation is to orgqnise scientific seminars regarding the field of architecture.
In a world wide level the organisation is member of Architects Council of Europe and is participating in European contests as Europan and Mies Van Der Rohe.
